I have enclosed an email from Sis. Elen Avila in Mindanao that was sent on the 4th of the month. This program is now fully operating and eight more souls have been baptized since this time.
Dear Brother Daniel:
Greetings in the wonderful name of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ.
Everyday, as I am working at the missionary field with brother Nelson, I am personally associated with the children and the women. The Lord put a heavy burden in my heart to help/teach the many younger women who are now married to bring up their families based on the word of God. Now, that broken homes and marriages were greatly one of the serious problem in the society. In fact, through the singing ministry we have everyday at the Father’s House, there were already 7 mothers who have been baptized for this month and faithfully serving the Lord.
As I associated with them everyday, I have seen the need. They need someone to care. I got the heavy burden to help them. will you help me sir?
With permission to brother Nelson, I am proposing to you to built a little extension of training center, even it is just a simple room at the fathers’ House area. This will be equipped with sewing machine, kitchen utensils for cooking, oven and other facilities, etc. sir, please let me know your advice… I am willing to listen.
We have brought here in GENSAN, one native Manobo woman and one native B’laan who is very willing to serve the Lord… This time, we are teaching them how to read and write, washing dishes, cooking, sewing by hand, proper hygiene and other housekeeping activities and gardening. with this, we desire to do more to share the Love of God to those less fortunate and poor people, for them to received Hope in their lives, as they faithfully serving the Lord. It is our prayer that when they go back home to their respective places they will share the wonderful things the Lord has taught them while staying here with us.
